The Journey of TURTLE: A Community-Driven Story

Hello, everyone! We wanted to take a moment to share the journey of our beloved $TURTLE memecoin, a project that has become a testament to the power of community. Launched on March 19, 2024, $TURTLE started with great promise, but the path hasn’t always been smooth. After the original developer went silent in May 2024, we realized that it was time for the community to step up and take charge.

A New Chapter

When the news broke that our original dev had gone quiet, many of us felt uncertain about the future of $TURTLE. Instead of letting it fizzle out, a dedicated group within the community, led by Cryptodaave on X, rallied together to keep the project alive. It was inspiring to see how many people were willing to step up and contribute their ideas and energy to ensure the project could continue.

From the beginning, we made it clear that we wanted to foster a community-centered atmosphere. Our goals were simple: create a safe trading environment, promote transparency, and focus on good vibes. We wanted to ensure that anyone who joined us felt welcomed and included in the process.

Growth Through Collaboration

Since taking over, we have worked hard to enhance the project and build it from the ground up. Currently, there are 19 active liquidity pools trading on four decentralized exchanges (DEXs). While there is no automated mechanism for burning liquidity, we’ve chosen to burn a portion of liquidity manually with each new pool created to build $TURTLE’s long-term sustainability. Additionally, our upcoming NFT buybacks will gradually bring the majority of liquidity in each pool into a burn status, further supporting the project's stability.

We believe in collaboration, and this ethos has driven us to support paired projects within the Cronos ecosystem. By working together, we can raise awareness of the entire #Cronoschain and help foster a thriving community.

Upcoming NFT Collection

We’re also excited about the upcoming release of our hand-drawn NFT collection. This initiative is about more than just creating art; it’s an opportunity for us to express our creativity as a community. After covering initial startup costs, all profits will go back into the project, helping to fuel our ongoing efforts.

Our artist Lexi darkmindofL, who has been with the community since the early days is a multifaceted creator from the UK who describes herself with a blend of mystique and humor as a "West country witch." Her digital footprint shows she's deeply involved in NFT community's and artistry, engaging with fellow enthusiasts and artists through her X posts. Her content creation spans across many platforms, from YouTube, where she shares her music and random creations, to her presence on social media, highlighting her as a gamer, supporter, and a creator having fun with her diverse interests.

This NFT collection is that each NFT will serve as a voting token for community treasury expenses after minting. This allows our community to have a direct say in how funds are allocated, ensuring that every voice matters.

Sustainability at Our Core

Sustainability is crucial to our vision. We’re implementing a combined token and NFT staking contract that will allow participants to earn daily rewards in Turtle tokens. Profits from our initiatives will be divided among various areas, including a community treasury, buybacks for future staking pools, and liquidity burning.

We’re also pleased to share that we have secured three years of earnings pre-launch, providing a solid financial foundation for our future projects. As we move forward, we’ll adjust the staking rates annually based on previous usage and earnings, ensuring our approach remains sustainable and in line with community needs.
